Clinics and Seminars
CLINICS
Whole Horse Power Clinics are a great way to have fun with horses and
learn a lot in a short time. After clinic care is available through books,
DVD’s, email support and even on this website through the “Ask Penny”
page.

Penny helps you understand and communicate with you horse in ways you
never thought possible. You will learn a philosophy and techniques that will
help you see the whole horse, giving you a bigger "toolbox" to draw from to
change behavior and promote healing.  You can become a "horse magnet",
the one horses look to for leadership and safety.

Penny is certified in several types of equine work and has also developed
healing and training techniques of her own. She has a Riding Master III
degree from Merideth Manor International School of Horsemanship, and is
certified as a Tellington Method clinician.

A great deal can be accomplished in a  two day clinic. All  clinics include
participants in hands on learning throughout the length of the clinic, rather
than a one person at a time format. You will learn to identify and change
your limiting patterns.

Relevated Riding:
"Relevation" is a word created to describe the experience of having a
revelation that instantly elevates your level of understanding or skill.
I
began to see people have "
relevations" when I was teaching riding from a
new perspective combining physics, raised awareness, body mechanics and
fundamentals of dressage. Beginning riders were able to create and
experience a deep balanced seat in a short time without struggling .
Intermediate riders quickly improved their seat, communication, and
connection. Advanced riders isolated and changed the patterns preventing
them from top performance. . In every case, when riders found this new
way, the horses became freer, more relaxed and more responsive.
Stretching and awareness exercises will free your body and your mind .
Longeing and being longed will allow you to get the feel of the most
effective and effortless way to ride.

Relevated riding is not style specific. Almost any rider in any discipline can
benefit from this knowledge. If you are ready for accelerated progress; if
you are open to real, permanent change; if you desire greater balance,
confidence, connection, performance or harmony, lessons or clinics can give
you what you want. With a clinic, you can relevate your riding in just one
weekend.

Tellington Method; TTEAM or Ttouch:
In a two day workshop, you can learn the basic techniques of Ttouch
equine body work, and of the TTEAM system of groundwork. This holistic
system has been teaching people how to have their horses join them in
partnership for the last 30 years. It has proven to be effective in the
hands of novices and seasoned horse people alike. It is currently used and
taught in 26 countries around the world, and thousands of  of letters
received by the Tellington Training headquarters tell of triumph after
triumph, and miracle after miracle. See the "stories" page for just a few
of Penny's own stories.
Tellington Method is unique among training and healing systems in that it
includes scientifically supported bodywork as part of training horses. It
also replaces dominance and aggression with understanding, mutual
respect, ease, safety, fun and efficiency.
 Learning
Tellington Methods
will help you help your horse to
relax, learn, cooperate and join
you in partnership.  Attending a
Tellington Touch Equine
Awareness Method  (TTEAM)
clinic can  open a new world
of communication,  connection,
joy, harmony and well-being
for you and your horse.

Young’uns, Mad’uns, and Bad’uns

This clinic utilizes all of the techniques and philosophies that Penny has
integrated into her training and healing toolbox to help people get the most
out of their horse experience. It is very direct and addresses the issues
of horses in the clinic and their handlers. It may include Ttouch and
TTEAM, Longeing techniques, ground driving, groundwork and body
awareness and riding techniques, according to what issues the participants
most want to work on. This is a clinic about imagining your perfect horse
experience, and learning the tools to bring you and your horse closer to
that dream.

Host A Clinic
Hosting a clinic is a great way to get Penny's teaching to your area, and
earn your clinic tuition.  It is usually best to allow at least 10 weeks from
the time you decide to have a clinic till your clinic date. This allows you
enough time to get the date published in your local horse papers and do
other types of advertising so that you can have a good turnout. Of course,
if your club is interested in doing this clinic, you may not need to advertise.
All clinics that I teach are hands on, meaning that every participant is
directly involved with me throughout the whole day. The day (or days ) is
set up so that participants are all working and observing throughout the
day, rather than one person at a time.

I just wanted to thank you both for sharing
your love and knowledge  this past week. I
wasn't sure how much Lacey absorbed this
past week  but I now know it was profound.

Yesterday , Friday am, I was in the
pasture unloading my "things" in the barn. I
had to walk back and  forth and Lacey
followed me everywhere. She even left her
hay. Remember, she is totally food driven.
She walked beside me and  would stop if I
stopped. If I walked again she would mirror
me and  again would stop if I stopped. I
zigzagged around . She continued to  follow
me or walk beside me. Head down the whole
time.
.
Rio wasn't as happy but he had not had
much attention or any work done with him.
I  couldn't wait for Saturday to be with
him and give him some wonderful  attention
with the new "tools" you so graciously
shared.

Today, I enlarged the labyrinth and made a
star. Lacey was by one of  her round bales
eating and stopped when I walked up. I did
the
marshmellow thing and she followed me to
the barn. I haltered her up  and did ear
work, tail work, lick of the cow's tongue,
leg circles,  and some basic circles. She
really enjoyed it!!!!! And so did I.

Then  Rio walked into the barn (he has
been hard to catch in the past,  after
beginning Parelli games) . I let it be his
idea . He let me  halter him as it seemed
he wanted  to be a part of what Lacey and
I  were doing!!! However, when I started
the TTouch on Rio he seemed  agitated.  I
walked him  through the labyrinth and star.
I then went back to the TTouch.
What a difference!!!! He was more relaxed
and focused. I went slow  and made
amazing progress with him.
To this all I can say is, "Wow, what a
difference!!!".

My confidence is growing and my horses and
I can't thank you
enough!!!!!!!

Many Blessings,

June
Hello everyone! I was just out with my horses Dakota and Lefty and had a
wonderful time! Lately I have been having a lot of trouble with Dakota and
Lefty (Dakota would run away from me and Lefty would not let me touch
him at all!). So today I said "Oh goodie!" and started doing TTouch on
Dakota. With Lefty I just used the wand (and it is really magic!) after
about twenty minutes of wand stroking Lefty was finally touchable and
accepted my hand without biting or kicking at me. Anyway I just have to
say how glad I am I went to this clinic it has saved me a lot of time and
has saved the horses a lot of pain!

Thanks to all!
Anna, Dakota, and Lefty
